Continuing the trend of popular videogames getting turned into movies, the trailer for the highly-anticipated, A MINECRAFT MOVIE has been released.
As one of the best-selling videogames of all time, Minecraft has captured the imagination of millions all over the world and this live-action adaptation promises to do the same. With a star-studded cast including Jack Black and Jason Momoa, in theaters on April 4, 2025.
The film follows Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers), and Dawn (Brooks), four characters whose everyday lives take an unexpected turn when they are sucked into a mysterious portal and transported to the Overworld, a cubic, surreal world full of magic, adventure, and creatures like Piglins and Zombies. To find their way home, they must master this new world with the help of an expert crafter: Steve (Jack Black). Together, they will embark on an adventure that will not only challenge them, but also help them discover the courage and creativity they need to face their real-life challenges.
