YouTube has released the trailer for their new YouTube Originals series, BRAVAS, executive produced by Natti Natasha.
BRAVAS, a new YouTube Originals series, follows three friends, Mila (Audri Nix), Roja (Nohemy Aguilar), and Ashley (Amanda Antonella), who seek to find their place in the world. They will learn that to overcome their past and make their way to the future they will have to unite their voices, whatever the cost may be.
The eight-episode series was produced by Cinema Giants, director and executive producer Jessy Terrero, with executive producer Natti Natasha. BRAVAS, will premiere on October 7 at 3 p.m. PT, on Natti Natasha’s YouTube channel.
Latin music is one of the most popular music genres in the world but has historically been a male-dominated genre and industry. From humble beginnings on the island of Puerto Rico, many male artists have become global music icons in recent years. BRAVAS, takes place in the vibrant streets of Puerto Rico and narrates the experience of young female artists as they attempt to emerge from the same humble beginnings, but with the added pressure of society and in the shadows of their male counterparts. BRAVAS features the participation of Latin musical legends and new rising stars such as Natti Natasha, Audri Nix, Wisin, Lyanno, Jon Z, Darkiel and Daniel El Travieso, one of the top YouTube creators from Puerto Rico. BRAVAS, will also feature an exclusive original soundtrack.
A family tragedy forces Mila to leave her family behind in search of a new life, finding in San Juan a home within music and Club BRAVAS. With the help of the special guests of the series, the protagonist finds her own way and writes a success inspired by a love disappointment. From there, Mila and her closest friends, DJ Roja and Ashley, form a group called La Milagrosa, giving themselves fully to their passion. As a result of the disappearance of her friend and colleague Ginoel, her music takes on true meaning and importance as a voice of alert against the urgent violence against women. A promising career has just begun for La Milagrosa.
