Mexican-American newcomer Xavi teams up with Latin Grammy-nominated Mexican norteño group, Los Dareyes De La Sierra on new track “Poco A Poco.”
In “Poco a”Poco” Xavi distinguishes himself from other emerging regional Mexican acts by showcasing his timeless vocals that sound beyond his young age on top of hard-hitting traditional regional Mexican elements. Paired with Los Dareyes De La Sierra, the two artists’ innovative collaboration continues to prove that música mexicana transcends both barriers and generations without losing the genre’s essence.
Xavi said about the new song:
Poco A Poco is a song that was born on a trip from Phoenix to Miami while on a plane. I got inspired and wrote a few phrases. Back in the studio, I was talking to Darey and I showed it to him and we finished it together that day. It is very special for me because he is an artist who believed in me and I will always be grateful for his support. It was a collaboration that came about thanks to chemistry, and we shot the video at Prajin Parlay Studioz in Anaheim, CA
“Poco A Poco” follows the success of Xavi’s last single “La Víctima” which helped the young artist reach over 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify in a short period of time. Other popular singles include “Sin Pagar Renta,” “3 AM,” and “Amigos con Derecho.”
