Mexican influencer and singer YERI MUA (Yeri Cruz Varela) has achieved what seemed impossible: becoming TikTok’s most-streamed musical artist globally, surpassing international stars like Billie Eilish and Sabrina Carpenter.
Born in Veracruz, Mexico, YERI began her journey to stardom in 2018 by sharing makeup tutorials on Instagram. In just over five years, she has become one of Latin America’s most influential content creators, amassing a massive following across digital platforms: over 23 million followers on TikTok, 12.1 million on Instagram, 11 million on Facebook, and 2.5 million on X (formerly Twitter).
Her music career launched in August 2023 with “Chupón,” featuring El Gudi, Jey F, Alan Dazmel, and Oviña, establishing her as the leading female voice in reggaetón mexa. The track held YouTube Mexico’s #1 trending position for 11 consecutive days, contributing to her platform metrics of over 515,000 subscribers and 75 million total views.
Her latest singles, “Croketita” and “Traka,” have collectively generated nearly 3 billion plays on TikTok. She also leads Mexico’s most-streamed musical artists, sharing the Top 5 with Kim Loaiza, Mont, Kenia OS, and El Malilla.
