‘Your Iron Lady’ Review

Get ready to laugh, cry, scream, and cry some more, Jorge Xolalpa Jr‘s latest film, Your Iron Lady, is a masterpiece.

A year in the life of Teresa: a mother of four who after being married for 22 years, decides to leave her abusive husband upon her arrival to the U.S. in 1998.

We had the opportunity to meet Teresa while on the set of one of Jorge’s future film’s being released in 2021, more details on that soon, but what we can tell you is that Teresa is a badass woman. She’s been through quite a lot, but that hasn’t and didn’t stop her from providing a better life for her family. Your Iron Lady, based on the short story “Tu Dama De Hierro” by Teresa Ramirez Galan is one of those movies that leaves you in awe.

The cast is simply phenomenal, Victoria Del Rosal portrays Teresa, and let’s just say her portrayal is OSCAR worthy. The emotion, the rawness she gives the role is next level, every actor gives such a powerful performance that makes you want more. A standing ovation for Malili Dib, Alondra Lara, Marcos Gudiño, Orlando Pineda, and Yul Burkle.

Your Iron Lady was scheduled to open in various film festivals, but due to the current situation the world is in, that’s not possible. However, the film has won various awards from a couple of festivals including “Best Feature Film,” and “Best Director” from the 2020 Sunscreen Film Festival, US.
